Catherine Gernes

Catherine is the firm’s Projects Manager and oversees the coordination of efforts amongst the BlueWater team on a number of client-related and other projects.

Ms. Gernes previously worked as chief of operations for DCI Group, a large Washington, DC based strategic public affairs firm where she helped with management of the government relations department.

Prior to working at DCI Group, Ms. Gernes was deputy campaign manager and treasurer for the George Nethercutt for Senate 2006 campaign in Washington state where she managed the fundraising team and oversaw all major campaign events.

Before joining the Nethercutt for Senate 2006 campaign, Ms. Gernes worked as a special assistant to United States Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota, her home state.  

Ms. Gernes has a bachelor’s degree in criminology and psychology from the University of Minnesota.
