Andrew D. Lundquist

ImageAndrew Lundquist, who founded the firm in 2002, is Managing Partner.  Mr. Lundquist provides business and government relations advice and manages major projects for U.S. and international corporations.  Mr. Lundquist also serves on two corporate boards: he is a director for Pioneer Natural Resources Company, a Dallas, TX-based oil and gas company, and he is a director for Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation, the world’s largest silver producer, and also a producer of gold.

Prior to joining the private sector in 2002, Mr. Lundquist served at The White House. He was selected by President George W. Bush to direct the National Energy Policy Development Group (NEPDG), the cabinet-level task force led by Vice President Dick Cheney that produced the President’s National Energy Policy. As director of the NEPDG, Mr. Lundquist worked closely with the Secretaries of Energy, the Interior, Commerce, the Treasury, Transportation, Agriculture and State, as well as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, to develop the President’s energy policy. Following its issuance, Mr. Lundquist served as a senior advisor and strategist on energy issues for the President and the Vice President.

Before serving in the Administration, Mr. Lundquist led President-elect George W. Bush’s transition team for the Department of Energy. In that capacity, he helped formulate initial Administration energy policies, such as its response to the California electricity crisis, and he advised the White House personnel office with respect to agency nominees and other senior administration officials.

Prior to working at the White House, Mr. Lundquist spent 14 years on Capitol Hill, the last three of which were as majority staff director of the United States Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. As staff director, he was responsible for committee agenda setting, strategic planning, staffing and budget decisions. Mr. Lundquist also served as chief of staff for Senator Frank Murkowski (AK) and counsel for the Senate Energy Committee.

For seven years Mr. Lundquist was a senior legislative assistant for Senator Ted Stevens (AK). He handled various issues including energy, defense, aviation, public lands, and other issues for committees on which the Senator sits including the Commerce, Governmental Affairs and Appropriations Committees.

Mr. Lundquist holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Alaska and a Juris Doctor from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law. He and his wife, Maryellen, have four children.
